Help needed please and a giveaway!

I wondered if I could ask for some help from those of you who a followers and those who don't officially follow, but follow and/or comment regularly. I'm thinking about trying out to be a reviewer for homeschooling curriculum (not that I really have a chance to make the cut, but it forces me to put myself out there and try it.)one requirement is I need a minimum of 25 "followers." The fact that I have any 'followers' at all astounds me, complete strangers care about me crazy life! Really?! When I started this blog I had no idea where it would take me and honestly never though people would read it or comment and I'm flattered. But here's where the help needed part comes in. I need a few more followers in order to be able to try out, so if you enjoy this blog or you think a friend might enjoy it enough to become a follower would you please be so kind as to forward it to them and ask them to check it out?

To thank you for your help I'm going to have a giveaway to three lucky winners. What will you win? How about a bar of our wonderful goat's milk soap?! Sound good?

All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me how you found my blog, what you like about it or don't like, and if you're a new follower or have been one for a while now. Anything else you might want to say is up to you. The three lucky winners will be chosen at random and will be drawn here in one week. Thank you all for your support and love and kind words through the years, I really appreciate it!

  1. I don't really remember how I came across your blog. I was reading and learning as much as I could about farming and animal husbandry and follow multiple blogs about country living. After taking a sabbatical from blogging while we moved I now realize that I follow because you learn to care about the people/families you read about. I have a lot of catching up to do but I have always enjoyed your posts and getting to know you, your children, animals and farm. Keep it up and good luck with the reviewer process.

  2. I found your blog because you made me! I follow it because you paid me with grandkids! I like it because I get to see what you are up to with my grandkids.......I am an "old" ( pun intended,...lol....) follower and have been following it since you started it, so I can keep an eye on my grandkids!

  3. I found your blog from CAF in the late spring or early summer. I am a faithful follower because you are pretty much living the life I would have chosen at your age except I probably would not have home schooled. It wasn't popular back then and I'm not sure I would have had success.

  4. I, too, found your blog from CAF, and, UNLIKE CAF, have found that you are "real," and have a life that has many things in it I would like. We have similar values and viewpoints, and many things make us BOTH happy - animals, kids, Maine, goats milk soap, etc. I don't know how long I've been following - a year maybe? I would not have homeschooled when my kids were little, but if I knew then what I know now, I might consider it. Unfortunately, being a public school teacher, that probably would have been not a cool decision!

  6. I found you through a google search for goat's milk soap, I love it. I don't live on a farm, and I don't live where it's cold, but i wish I did (even the cold part) I love reading about farm life though, I spent a lot of time as a child around my aunts & uncles & cousins who farmed. I'm a new follower

So what's the view from your world about that? I'd enjoy hearing it.
