So happy!

I talked briefly with the mother of the Fresh Air child we're hosting this summer today! So we're even more excited about hosting now!

It'll be a very long couple days..

....because I just found out that we've been matched with a kid and should find out who in just a couple days!

phew!

The Fresh Air interview went well and provided our background check come back clean and the references check out ok (I'm sure they will) we should have a child placed with us this summer! Thank you for all the prayers, kind words and support! We feel so fortunate to be in a place where this might be a possibility and hopefully be able to impact a life in a positive way!

big interview coming up

This Friday, (like tomorrow!) we are being interviewed to potentially have kids from the Fresh Air Fund placed with us this summer. I am nervous and excited about this and am asking that if you have any room on your prayer list you could add us, (and the child/ren that will be placed with us), to it once or twice. I've been talking to the area coordinator and was told today that it's our responsibility to provide a peaceful safe place for these kids. I was sitting in the sun room, looking out at the window at the chicken pecking and scratching in the grass and smiled. Yup, got that covered!
